So, it’s time to introduce them to this plaque and tartar-removing dental powder for dogs — a must-grab since it’s on sale and especially if your dog hates brushing.

Besides beating bad breath, stepping up your dog’s oral care improves their overall health.
In previous HuffPost reporting, Dr. Carly Fox, a senior veterinarian at New York City’s Schwarzman Animal Medical Center said that plaque buildup on your pup’s pearly whites can lead to issues like gum disease, tooth loss or decay and chronic pain. Dr. Nicole Savageau, a veterinarian with mobile pet service The Vets, continued that poor dental health in dogs can cause “bacteria entering the bloodstream from the mouth,” potentially leading to issues like heart and kidney disease.
The best way to prevent this? Minimize plaque buildup.
Fox previously told HuffPost the key to strong oral health is a combination of home care and veterinary treatment. And this powder, which reviewers have call, “a very simple and uncomplicated process” may be the easiest way to up your home care. In fact, one reviewer said their vet recommended this product and said the dog’s teeth looked better after incorporating it into their routine.

“The persistent problems that my dog Bella had with foul breath and plaque buildup were addressed by using it a few weeks ago. When it comes to her dental hygiene routine, I believe that this product has made a significant impact. It has provided her with a solution that is both convenient and effective, and it has been able to integrate itself into her everyday life without any difficulty. Incorporating this tooth powder into Bella’s meals was, in my opinion, a very simple and uncomplicated process. It is possible to just sprinkle this powder over her food, in contrast to the conventional brushing procedures, which Bella has always been resistant to. The fact that it is so simple to use has made the process of maintaining her oral health far less stressful for both of us. This was a clear indication that the product is performing as intended since I saw a tremendous decrease in the amount of plaque that was on her teeth after just a few weeks of using it.
The improvement in Bella’s breath was one of the most remarkable results that I experienced. Her breath had been visibly nasty in the past, which was a worrying problem that never went away. She has, however, noticed a substantial improvement in the freshness of her breath since she began using the dental powder on a regular basis. My concerns about possible oral health problems that might come from extended plaque building have been lessened as a result of this improvement, which has not only made our time together more joyful but has also lowered my anxieties about those potential problems.” — Huy Le
“I would highly recommend this product. I have been using it for all my 12 pets, 3 dogs, 9 cats. One if my dogs had a gum disease which required two dentals a year at a cost over $1000. It was recommended that I use the product for 3 months before any results could be seen. 3 months has passed and all my animals have shown an increase in healthy teeth and gums. The first year that none of my pets required a dental. I still do regular brushing of the dogs teeth, but Spaniel Kelp Dental Powder has been a fantastic addition to my animals health and well being.Value for money in product and get dental costs.” — Justin Ingersoll
“Was recommended by vet to try. I wasn’t sure if it was working but the vet said my dog’s teeth are looking better so will keep using this alongside brushing and chew toys” — Harold Halifax
