If you’re waiting until Black Friday to score the TV of your dreams on a steep discount, then I have a piece of professional shopping advice for you: Truly, don’t. Today, the ultra-popular Samsung Frame TV — a thin television set known for doubling as an art piece — is marked down 40% off at Amazon, Target and Walmart. That’s hundreds off the original price tag of this normally big-ticket tech product.
These televisions are beloved for their ability to hide the fact that they’re televisions in the first place. Mounted, they’re almost flush with living room walls, and their matte anti-glare surface makes the screen look much like a painting. While the 55-inch Frame typically goes for $1299-$1497.99, today it’s marked down to $897.99 — the lowest price we’ve seen this entire year!
“This TV is just beautiful, we love it,” says one Walmart reviewer. “The pictures look like we are at the actual museum and the quality of the 4K is outstanding.”
While the Frame TV is turned off, switching it into Art Mode gets it to display art as folks walk by automatically, thanks to a built-in motion sensor. You can curate your photos and art or shop at Samsung’s Art Store to choose from over 1,400 new and classic works to display. You can also subscribe to Samsung’s Art Store for a rotating gallery. Its bezels are thin, so when mounted to a wall, it looks like a large picture frame (hence the name). It also has the appearance of a matte finish thanks to anti-glare tech.
Yes, the Frame is still a 4K TV, and it works with streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. It also has HDMI and USB ports for added connectivity.
“I LOVE this TV,” said a reviewer named Kimberly. “Beautiful picture and a wonderful collection of art. […] We also got the ornate gold frame for it and people don’t even realize it’s a tv until they notice the picture change.”

“WOW This TV is just beautiful, we love it. The pictures look like we are at the actual museum and the quality of the 4K is outstanding. We have not had any issues. It was easy to hang up as well, not too heavy. It was an easy purchase with Walmart.com and the delivery guys were awesome. They really do remove the TV and check to make sure it works and it did and looks amazing! Highly Recommend it.” — Amy

“The frame is a great TV. We use its photo feature to show off family portraits, and with that we save money by not having to buy canvas portraits every year or two.” — Nick
“The TV looks amazing. I’m excited to get it set up in my family room. I haven’t used it just yet, but everything seems to be as expected. We have another (older) Samsung TV and we’re very happy with it, so we’re hopeful that this one is the same!” — KevinB
