If you’re looking for a survival tool for home power outages, remote and outdoor living or maybe even your RV, then the gas-free Jackery Solar Explorer 2000 Pro is one reliable powerhouse. This backup generator charges up in only two hours via AC wall outlet (or 2.5 hours with six solar panels), and reviewers say it’s strong enough to power home appliances for hours. One reviewer even noted that it powered their refrigerator for days! It’s ideal for camping trips and unexpected power outages related to the heat, storms or other extreme weather circumstances.
According to reviewer Donald E. Thompson, this generator is super quiet while used “inside for 9.5 hours” for “watching TV, [making] morning coffee [and keeping the] fridge cold”— and they still had an additional 10 hours of charge leftover. That’s one strong generator, and right now, you can grab it at 48% off, knocking it down from $1,899 to $999.
This generator has a total of eight outlets: three AC, two USB-As (both with quick charge), two USB-C ports with PD and one car outlet. It also supports pass-through charging, which means you can power up other devices while charging the generator itself.
Whether you’re enduring hurricane season, living in the wilderness or just enjoy some electricity during camping trips, this durable portable power station is a smart idea. Grab one now at its low price and read on for more use cases from happy reviewers.
“Hurricane Idalia hit us and power went out. The Jackery was fully charged a ready (easily charged pre-storm by home outlets) and they are quiet. Used inside for 9.5 hours ( still had additional 5-9 hours charge depending on usage) watching TV, morning coffee (although coffee machines drain heavily), fridge kept cold and used all day to maintain a comfortable day during severe storm. The neighbor had a generator running loudly and it draws attention, be aware. These can be charged by cars as well. House outlet pre-storm charges to 100% in about 1.25 hours. Great for times when you need to keep family calm and focused…” — Donald E. Thompson [This review has been condensed for length. Read the full review here.]
“I purchased this generator for camping. My husband has a CPAP and we’ve run into issues with expensive portable batteries dying after a few hours so, after reading reviews I decided to purchase. I’m so thankful I did! We haven’t used it camping yet, but storms ripped through our city with hurricane force winds and we lost power throughout the neighborhood. We used this generator to power a fan and his CPAP through the night (8 hours) and now it’s running our refrigerator. I am super impressed!! If you’re thinking about buying one, I highly recommend it.” — Jennw/7
“Bay Area storm knocked out our power. Almost 24 hours and it’s still powering our fridge, charged our laptops plus various other items on a single charge. So glad I have this thing. Bit rainy so I haven’t tried the solar yet. It’s so portable I can move it around the house if I need, kinda want another one now lol. Also basically zero sound which is nice since I have twin 6 month olds.” — JJ
“Living in a hurricane area it’s always great to have back up. You never know when it’ll flood or you’ll lose power for 2 weeks. This definitely came in handy through this last storm.” — Paddy
“I received my system promptly. All the components came in as described. I charged it using the wall outlet and it charged as expected. I used it to run a few home appliances including a refrigerator, charge a cell phone and a lamp. I worked very well with those items connected. I stopped the test after 7 hrs. It had consumed approx. 55% of the power. When I received the solar panel, I set it up to charge with the panel and it was slow charging but as expected with only one 200W panel. It charge the systems back to 100% in approx. 8 hrs. I wrote to customer support and they responded quickly and showed good business practices. I will buy additional components and recommend to family and friends.” — Juan A. Perez
